Environmental Programs Started in School An Encompass employee, Adrienne Fenley, is committed to leading children in awareness about global warming. Adrienne worked with a teacher at Wolf Trap Elementary to begin several recycling programs. The school now recycles printer cartridges, cell phones, batteries and compact flourescent lightbulbs, in addition to the existing collection of paper, bottles and cans. The printer cartridges are a fund raiser for the school, and the cell phone recycling supports the troops overseas.
Adrienne also launched an environmental products fundraiser at Wolf Trap Elementary. Rather than selling gift wrap, the school is selling eco-friendly products like CF lightbulbs and natural cleaners through a web site: http://wolftrap.ecommitted.com. The school receives 25% of the proceeds, the parents have a resource to be "green" and the Earth wins.
